Bourbon Barrel Art Project will benefit Heart of Kentucky United Way

The Kentucky State BBQ Festival has announced The Bourbon Barrel Art Project to benefit Heart of Kentucky United Way.

Local businesses and individuals are sponsoring Bourbon Barrels generously supplied by Beam Global, makers of Jim Beam and Makers Mark Bourbons and many other products. The barrels will be decorated by local artists selected by the sponsors.

On Friday, September 7, kicking off the Kentucky State BBQ Festival weekend, the barrels will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to Heart of Kentucky United Way.

Barrels will be available for viewing immediately proceeding the auction, beginning at 7:00PM at the Warehouse, Perryville Street in Danville and the auction will commence at 8:00PM.

Anyone interested in sponsoring a barrel should contact the KY State BBQ Festival at (859) 319-4000 or the Danville/Boyle County CVB at (859) 236-7794 as soon as possible.
