So what do the kids do while you’re feasting on BBQ? If the kiddies just aren’t into Q, or are just looking for “kid things” to do, there will be a variety of activities they can enjoy.
The Kentucky State BBQ Festival is set to be THE fall festival for family fun and is pleased to announce a host of activities for children at the event, set for September 8 and 9 in downtown Danville at Constitution Square.
In between tasty BBQ samples, adults and children are asked to check out our kids area, which will include a petting zoo, face painting, sand art, spin art, and other hands-on activities. These are possible thanks to the local chapter of 4-H.
There will also be several bounce houses and inflatable attractions for kids to enjoy. $5 buys inflatables access for the entire day!
- Bounce Houses
- Inflatable Attractions
- Petting Zoo
- Face Painting
- Sand Art
- Spin Art
- more…
In addition to what is mentioned above, there will be a Bubble-Blowing area and a Marshmallow Gun Shooting Gallery.
The petting zoo will feature goats, rabbits, chickens, sheep, and more!
Get ready for a great day for the entire family!

Is Ernie Brown (Turtleman) going to be at the festival this year?
I would say any appearance by Turtleman would be dependent on his schedule.
would love to see “live action ” from turtle man
